Carousel Images Instructions

How to Add Your School Photos

This folder should contain 5 photos that will rotate on the homepage.

Steps:

  1. Prepare your photos:
    • Choose 5-6 photos that showcase your school, students, and activities
    • Recommended size: 1200px wide × 600px tall (landscape orientation)
    • Or similar aspect ratio (2:1 ratio works best)
    • Format: JPG or PNG
  2. Name your photos:
    • slide-1.jpg
    • slide-2.jpg
    • slide-3.jpg
    • slide-4.jpg
    • slide-5.jpg
  3. Upload to GitHub:
    • Go to your repository on GitHub
    • Navigate to: assets/images/carousel/
    • Click “Add file” → “Upload files”
    • Drag and drop your 5 photos
    • Click “Commit changes”
  4. That’s it! Your photos will automatically appear in the rotating carousel on the homepage.

Photo Ideas:

  • School building exterior
  • Students in classrooms learning
  • Traditional/cultural activities (drumming, language lessons)
  • Land-based learning activities
  • Community events
  • Sports and after-school programs
  • Students working together

Tips:

  • Photos should be well-lit and in focus
  • Show diverse activities and age groups
  • Capture the spirit of your school community
  • Get proper permissions for photos of students

Temporary Placeholders

Until you upload your photos, the carousel will show placeholder images. The site will still work perfectly - just replace these placeholders with your real photos when ready!
